Fun for the family  light displays, crafts, tree lightings, caroling, bonfires and more..

• Christmas in the Village - Meadow Vista. -  Dec. 10th   Enjoy a scavenger hunt for goodies from 4 to 6 pm with the businesses in downtown Meadow Vista.  Santa arrives in the lot next to the Post Office at 6:30 pm and the bon fire is lit while children express wishes to jolly St. Nick.

• Festival of Lights Parade  - Sat. Dec. 3 at 5:30pm in downtown Auburn

• Old Town Auburn Country Christmas - Sat. Dec. 10 and 17th from 5 to 9 pm  crafts, food and fun. www.oldtownauburnca.com

• Grass Valley Cornish Christmas - Friday nights beginning Nov. 25th thru Dec. 23rd - Enjoy the traditions of the earlier immigrants to this area from 6-9 pm

• Nevada City Victorian Christmas - Wednesdays Dec. 14 & 21 from 5-9pm and Sundays Dec 4, 11 & 18 from 1:30-6pm -  Enjoy turn of the century theme with costumed merchants, caroling and much more. Visit nevadacountythingstodo.com/christmas for more info.

This past Christmas in the Village Treasure Hunt was a tremendous success. Congrats to our 3 winners (two are pictured above) who gathered all of the treasures and submitted their entry by 6pm. Meadow Vista Lions Club: 2014 Santa Comes to Town

The Meadow Vista Lions are looking forward to a busy fall season and preparing for the holidays. Lions club members will be in front of Holiday Market selling Sees' Christmas Candies on November 20-23, December 11th-14th & 18th-21st.

Santa Claus has made his annual contact with us.  He will be visiting our community on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at dusk in the vacant field next to the Post Office.

Residents are always welcome to come bring ideas and see the planning for our events by visiting a meeting on the second and fourth Wednesday, starting at 7pm. at the Grange Hall in Meadow Vista. If you are interested in information contact us at  MeadowVistaLionsClub@gmail.com.

Santa is coming to town! Rudolph has assured the Meadow Vista Lions that he will safely deliver Santa Claus in Meadow Vista at the field next to the Post Office on December 8, 2012.  For Santa's visit to town the area Girl Scouts will be serving up those delicious and nicely decorated cookies they have baked.  The Lions will be serving up coffee and hot chocolate.  The bond fire will be going to help keep everyone warm while they are visiting with Santa.  Should there be unfavorable weather condition look for Santa to be at Placer Hills Auditorium.  The Meadow Vista Lions look forward to seeing everyone at dusk on December 8, 2012!

 Come support your local Meadow Vista Area Lions Club CRAB FEED
 The Lions Crab Feed will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Gold Country Fairgrounds (Placer Building) starting at 6 p.m.  Tickets are $35.00 each.  The menu will be salad, bread and CRAB!  No host cocktail start at 6 p.m.  Tickets are available through a Meadow Vista Area Lions member, Meadow Vista True Value Hardware, Meadow Electric, Meadow-Walker Law Group, or Dr. Hensley.  Prize drawings will be done though out the evening, with the music by Runnin 4 Cover (live band).    The sole door prize winner will walk away with $200.   All the proceeds from this event will allow the Meadow Vista Lions to continue with the community projects and events.  Some of our more special projects are The Mother's Day Breakfast, Santa Comes to Town, Easter Egg Hunt, assist financially challenged resident with eye care, school day hot dogs and many other community projects! 

 Do you want to put your expertise to good use in helping your community?  Residents are welcome to visit a Meadow Vista Lions meeting.  There are held on the second and fourth Wednesday night, starting time is 7p.m. at Meadow Vista Grange. PLEASE contact Mark at True Value Hardware about the possibilities of becoming a Meadow Vista Area Lions!
